- The original cost of a cement bag is about Rs 360 here and the price will be reduced to nearly half under the scheme.
- Consumers building houses will be issued 50 bags per 100 square feet, subject to a maximum of 750 bags for 1,500 square feet.

7. AMMA SEEDS

8. AMMA PHARMACY

9. AMMA CALL CENTRE

- In the initial phase to receive at least 15,000 calls per day
- for people to register grievances about government departments.
- The details of the grievances from callers would be sent to officials concerned through e-mail, phone calls, and text messages.
- The caller too would be informed about the officer, who has been informed of the complaint and further the action taken on it
- The Amma call center is considered as an extension of CM’s cell, where she receives petitions from the public directly or by post or e-mail.
10. AMMA SERVICE CENTRE
- It was announced on August 8, 2014
- Amma Makkal Sevai Maiyyam’ (Amma People’s Service Centre)
- The corporations on every Wednesday hold this center – For Urban Audience
- To facilitate the delivery of public services such as the issue of birth and death certificates, trade licenses, ration cards, drinking water, and sewage connections, permission for building and so on.
- The objective of the service centers was to help out those who could not meet officials on tour and to avoid any delay in the delivery of services.

11. AMMA Vegetable Shops
- This scheme is being implemented on 21 June 2013.
- Pannai Pasumai Nugarvor Kootturavu Kadai or farm-fresh cooperative store
- To control rising vegetable prices
- These fair price vegetable shops to sell farm-fresh vegetables at substantially lower rates in Chennai and its suburbs
- The government departments (cooperation, food and consumer protection) procure vegetables directly from the farmers for the shops.
- With this step, the government has been able to keep the prices low by keeping the middlemen at bay.
- What is noteworthy that the move has not burdened the exchequer with a subsidy burden.
12. AMMA Micro Loans scheme
- Launched on January 23, 2016
- To provide micro loans for small traders who were affected by last
- year’s (2015) floods.
- The traders can avail loan upto Rs.5,000 from cooperative banks and the government will pay the interest of 11%.
- They can repay it as little as Rs. 200 a week over 25 weeks.
- Those who do not repay the loan in 25 weeks will be charged a nominal interest of 4% on the outstanding amount
- Those who pay on time are eligible for higher loans upto Rs. 25,000.
- Sellers of flowers, fruits and vegetables, and other small vendors
- The objective of the scheme is to help out small traders who are forced to take loans at a high rate of interest from moneylenders
13. AMMA Mobile
- Announced in September 2015
- Mobile phone handset with a 3G sim card, a camera, and GPRS
- Under the scheme, “computerized mobile phones” loaded with special Tamil software would be provided to 20,000 self-help group (SHG) trainers in the first phase at a cost of Rs 15 crore,
- The monthly cost for operating the phones would be borne by the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women.
