What is AFCAT?
AFCAT stands for Air Force Common admission Test. This Test is conducted by Indian Air Force for selection of officers in all braches of IAF expect Medical & Dental.

When will AFCAT exams Conduct?
AFCAT exam is conducted twice the year in the month of February and August. The Advertisement for the same is published in the month of December and June respectively. The exam is in Online mode only.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: 20 to 24 years
Upper age limit for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA is relaxable up to 26 years.
Educational Qualification
Flying Branch:
Candidate has to hold minimum 3-year degree course in any discipline from the recognised university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together have passed Maths + Physics and 10+2 level or B.E/B. Tech Degree(4-year course) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Candidates who have failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test in an earlier attempt or a Flight cadet suspended from Flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply.
Ground Duty Technical Branch:
Age Limit: 20-26 years
Aeronautic Engineer candidates applying for AE Branch would be eligible if they had undergone a minimum of 4 year Degree qualification from the recognised University
or
Cleared Section A & B examinations of Associate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.
All candidates applying for AE Branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Same Criteria is true for Mechanical Candidates also.
Ground Duty Non-Technical Level Branch:
Age Limit: 20-26 years
Administration in Logistics comes under this category.
Graduate degree minimum of the 3-year degree course in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together
or
Passed a graduate degree in Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers.
FOR ACCOUNT: Graduate degree in Commerce(i.e B.Com) with a minimum of a 3-year degree course with a minimum of 60% of marks in aggregate of all papers put together
or
Post Graduate degree in Commerce(i.e M.Com)
CAICWA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
